The Team:
Jeff Goldstein (President)
Jeffrey Goldstein was born in Miami, Florida, in 1957. From there his family moved to Las Vegas, Nevada, in 1962 and then to Illinois in 1967. After studying art, primarily painting, at Illinois Wesleyan University and through Loyola's Rome program, he moved to Chicago in 1980. Being a fourth generation carpenter, now with an art background, he opened his one man carpentry business, Carpentry-Artworks, shortly after his arrival in the city. Dealing with residential and commercial renovations, he eventually opened a cabinetry shop offering these services as well. All the while Jeff has continued to paint out of various studio spaces and make artwork while participating in gallery shows in addition to taking on curatorial projects when possible. Having come in contact with some of Chicago's more notable artists, gallery owners, art patrons and collectors, he has been fortunate enough to have carved out an unusual position in Chicago's art community. His background has allowed him to bring something unique and of worth to the table while assisting in the unfolding of the Vivian Maier story. Furthermore, Jeff would also like to dedicate this site to the memory of Ed Paschke, person and artist extraordinaire.
