The Mission
“Inspirational” is the word we most often hear regarding Vivian Maier and her work. From Chicago to Paris to Australia; from painters to sculptors to musicians; from the novice to the professional photographer, to those who come simply to view the photographs, we hear of the inspirational effect created by Vivian Maier’s images.
In the spirit of that inspiration, our mission is to make Vivian Maier’s life and photographic legacy available to the public through this website as well as exhibitions worldwide. Working with individuals from diverse art backgrounds has granted us an unique perspective and balance as we make decisions of how to best share Vivian Maier's remarkable images.

We maintain this highly collaborative approach that we feel best serves Vivian Maier’s legacy.
Like so many who have experienced the images showcased on our website, we at Vivian Maier Prints Inc. continue to be inspired. We want viewers to experience the kind of emotion connected to Vivian Maier that a 13-year-old girl, aspiring to be a photographer, simply described to us in a letter:
"I feel like I'm standing right along side of her."
